The Importance of a Morning and Night-time Routine…

In order to have a productive and also positive day, it is essential to have a successful morning and night-time routine. Waking up late with 15 minutes to get ready, so you skip breakfast and charge out of the house, barely awake and already stressed. Going to sleep late because it’s the only time you get to have some relaxation, whether that’s watching TV or scrolling etc, even though you know you are going to regret it in the morning. Does this sound familiar to you? If so, I am going to offer you some life-saving advice that will help you get your day off to the best start and finish, feeling relaxed, calm and on track.

~ Firstly, the most significant part of having a productive day, is to have a proper sleep schedule. There is absolutely no way around this. You must be disciplined enough to put everything down at night and force yourself to go to sleep. Listen to some relaxing music, read for a while, meditate etc. You cannot, under any circumstances, be watching your phone as it just keeps you awake for so much longer and actually prevents you from getting a good nights sleep. It doesn’t only affect you for that particular night, but it will affect you for the nights after that too. A decent sleep schedule would be preferably from 10pm to 7am, provided that you are indeed fast asleep by that time. Of course, the amount of sleep that you require also depends on your age, but for many people, this would be a perfect sleep schedule. I know that some people may have to get up earlier for work, meaning that you would have to go to sleep even earlier. Minimum 8 hours sleep is necessary. And I know that if you are used to a certain sleep schedule, this won’t simply happen overnight. It will take a bit of time. What really helped me get my sleep schedule in order, was to let’s say one night, I’d make my bedtime half an hour earlier than the night before, therefore meaning I’d also wake up half an hour earlier. Then I’d continue to do this until my desired sleep schedule was reality. You can do this in any way you want - maybe go to sleep 15 mins earlier then the night before. It doesn’t matter as long as you eventually get to your end goal.

~ Secondly, as I somewhat mentioned, you must replace unhealthy habits with healthy ones. This ties into something called having productive rest. Romanticize your mornings and evenings. If you are running out the house with ten minutes before you catch the train or bus into work, you are already starting the day off with an extremely negative and stressed vibe that will carry on throughout your day. Take the time to make a healthy, wholesome breakfast, do some skincare, put effort into your appearance, listen to upbeat music or motivational podcast as you are on the way to work. The list goes on. All these things will put you into a better, vibrational state that will brighten the rest of your day. See, what we do in the morning impacts the way we act and feel for the entirety of the day. Now we have a choice. We can either start the day off feeling stressed, rushed and overwhelmed, meaning that the rest of the day will also resemble these feelings or we can wake up that bit earlier, prioritise ourselves and leave the house feeling positive, joyful and uplifted, enabling you to have an extremely successful day.

Now, imagine someone who takes on this more positive role every morning and evening, and compare how different their entire year would be to someone who operates in the low-vibrational state.
