It’s All About The Outlook!

I love this quote - “You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it”. It’s so true. Most of the problems in our lives aren’t really problems. Our thoughts make it a problem. But we can make our thoughts work in a positive way for us. We can control what we think about, even if we may not believe that yet. Everything in our lives can be looked upon in either a positive or negative light. YOU make that choice. Everything that may first appear unfair or bad is really an opportunity in disguise for you to learn, grow and ultimately become better as a person.

Now, you can complain all you want and try and get sympathy from others over how you were dealt “the bad cards in life”. Really though, these are just excuses. Yes, something bad may have happened to you, but do you want that to take control over you and your life, or do YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR POWER BACK? You can deal with whatever is going on in a positive way knowing that it will soon pass and your faith and positivity is what is going to get you through it. Too many of us use bad things that happened to us as an excuse to act in a certain way and self-sabotage, when you really should be healing and growing and moving past it. It is nature’s way for everything to grow and evolve and you should too. When we let the bad things that happened to us control our lives, we are really placing limits on our beliefs about ourselves. This informs the universe that you believe that the bad things control you, when they should really be shaping you and getting you to where you want to be.

Success is not reached without rejection, hate from others and any other obstacle you can think of. This is because successful people will not care about these things and will not stop until their goal is reached. Unsuccessful people, on the other hand, will allow these sort of things to affect them and halt their progress and belief in their ability. The truth is, we would never grow and learn without these things. For example, I injured my ankle at a very inconvenient time for me. Because I am an athlete, I needed to rest for a while, and that was very difficult for me. Though I was irritated at first, I knew the universe was trying to tell me something. Maybe I took exercise for granted and needed to express more gratitude, maybe I needed to focus on inner growth more than just outer and physical growth through meditation etc., or maybe it was given to me as a test to build my mental strength, have faith and learn to push through difficult times. Honestly, it could be either of these things, or all of them at once. Either way, through this change of mindset, of constantly looking for the hidden meaning and trying to better myself, it is SO much easier to cope with obstacles that I face. and YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

Remember that it is always your choice on whether to be happy or upset. External factors cannot affect what goes on inside. No matter what they are, if someone or something is trying to give you anger, hurt, pain etc., you simply do not have to accept it. IT’S YOUR CHOICE.
